We are Theresa and Philipp and just graduated high school in July. Having been in a home-schooling system and living in front of the PC for the last one and a half years we are succumbing to wanderlust. Before we will start attending university in October we want to travel. Just a vacation? Not enough, we want to get involved in a good cause! The protection of climate and the environment is very important to us. That is why we brought to life our project “Balkan by bike – cycling for reforestation”. During our journey we will be gathering funds to help the Romanian NGO “Foundation Conservation Carpathia” reforest clear-cut mountain forests in the Carpathian Mountains. What means of transportation could be better suited for such an adventure than the bicycle? With our bikes we will experience the beauty of the Balkan in a free and climate-neutral way.
